CyBaNa: The Solution to Bangalore's Traffic Mess

CyBaNa Impact

G.V. Dasarathi is part of a group of evangelists for a new religion called CyBaNa. Cybana promotes Cycling+Bus+Nadiyodu ("walking" in Kannada) as the path to salvation for Bangalore's biggest problem: traffic congestion.

View the CyBaNa slideshow for an overview of what we preach.

It is a short and interesting presentation. After you view it, you can do one of the following:

  • Convert to CyBaNa, one day a week
  • Join our group of evangelists as an active member. We talk to people, and do projects in companies, schools, colleges, and residents' welfare associations. It's fun!
  • Arrange for us to talk to any group of people you are connected with: company, school, college, residents of your colony, club, whatever.
  • Forward the presentation to others
Apart from preaching, the CyBaNa evangelists practice what they preach!

Survey data collected by a group of students, and initial discussions with the Commercial Street Merchants' Association have been encouraging.  For the impatient, a quick overview of the issue can be found at this slideshow.

In a deeply disappointing decision the High Court of Karnataka granted permission to implement the Bangalore Metro in Lalbagh and Lakshman Rao boulevard overlooking serious Constitutional violations by the Karnataka Government in securing requisite permissions.  ESG and Hasiru Usiru have represented to His Excellency the Governor of Karnataka to direct the Government to honour the prestige of the Governor's office and the Legislature, and refrain from implementing the Metro project in such an illegal manner
